I was speaking with a colleague who is performing some work for me and I asked him how he and his team were adjusting to working from home. He said they were starting to enjoy it and were getting comfortable with remote technology. However, since all good things come to an end, his boss had told him he must start coming in to the office everyday next week. My Colleague (leaving out his name to protect the innocent) was dismayed and disappointed when he asked his boss – why. He could not get an answer from his boss – he just stated, “you need to be back in the office”. WHY? No discussion.
Is there nothing to be learned from this pandemic? Is there NO willingness to learn how things could be improved? Come on, management – wake UP!
